Description
Flake Fillet Dog Treats – Australian product!
Flake fillets (shark) are very healthy dog treats.
The new cut (2025) are small flat short pencil like pieces that are EASY for any dog to eat.
Typically 5 – 10 cm long by about 1 cm diameter , more or less. Depending on the specific shark used, and the drying time, means that the meat can be various shades of yellow/ orange.
We get them from Australian waters and store them in temperature controlled conditions in our sealed warehouse to maintain freshness.
Flake fillets dog treats are naturally very tasty and nutritious! These are the shark flesh that doesn’t get sold in the fish and chip shop. It is caught under license in Australian waters and most dogs (even mine) loves them!
Because it is a seafood item, they might smell a little ‘fishy’ to the human nose, but since dogs mostly select food by scent, the stronger or gamier the smell, usually the more a dog will enjoy it.
A quick note on our fish treat products. Unlike many other companies, we only sell fish/ shark CAUGHT in Australian waters. We also only sell fish that are a specific species, not random or the cheapest available this week, that often have little redeeming nutrition properties or quality control. If we are offered anything only called ‘fish’ from a drier, we reject it. We do so, because we believe people should know specifically what they are buying, plus it can help avoid allergic reactions.
Flake is know to have a whole host of micro-nutrients. The ones that are typically missing in most intensive farming land-based animals.
And while people might associate fish with a cat diet, very few cat ancestors lived exclusively off fish. We know that a Healthy dog is one with a diversified meat diet.
