If your dog loves bones, bully sticks XLG or any other of our long chewing treats, then these Cow Hoof stuffed with ROO Mince, are the next level option for them.  Safer than a bone to a hard core chewer, and filled with the most nutrition dense, low fat land based meat in Australia – Kangaroo mince (plus minor amount of chicken).

There is a good chance that your dog will soon figure out how to get the mince out early on in its chewing, but won’t always demolish the hoof shell on first sitting. This hoof shell makes it re-usable for other meat based fillers that you can add for successive plays/ chews.

USAGE – Clearly this is a long chewing treat.  Once the roo mince is eaten the hoof is an low Kj treat that they can chew for as long as they like without adding any weight.

The mince is a high percentage of meat, meaning that they will be getting close to the same amount of protein from it, as they will in their commercial dog food.  The reason why we promote single ingredient meat treats so much, is that we believe that the aafco requirement for protein is woe-fully low at 18% (dry basis) – and adding any NON-MEAT treat to a dogs diet, will only decrease the total amount of protein available as a percentage of a dog’s food intake.

Some dogs are just happy enough chewing on a cow hoof all day. But I know that my dog got very bored, very quickly unless their was some other meat based pay-off involved. If you are after a pre-occupier treat, to stop boredom, to prevent high separation anxiety, you have to meet your dog half way.  Sure the cow hoof by themselves are VERY economical when compared to other long lasting treats, but to truly occupy your dog, you need to increase the taste and nutrition, with a meat based mince.

The added value of mince filled hooves, is that once your dog has gotten out most of the dried mince, small crumbs of the mince will still cling to the inside of the hoof, still giving your dog hope that their is still more in there to be eaten.
