Octopus 100g

Octopus 100g Octopus 100g

Octopus dog treats 100g - Australian Origin

People who have bought the 100g octopus dog treat pack usually buy the 500g or 1Kg packs next. Yes it's that good. It's one of those things that you don't need to feed your dog all of the time, though it is so healthy, you definitely could make it part of their main diet.

To  keep the octopus in as natural state as possible we typically cut the large oval full octopuses pieces into 8 cm strips. The full length pieces are about 15 cm long but vary depending on which part of the oval we are cutting. It is only a few mm thick and quite flexible. You can then easily snip off how much you need from each of the wide strips,

Octopus dog treat INGREDIENT SPECIFICATIONS

These treats come with no ingredient list from the manufacturer, because they are 100% Octopus. So I have been a little creative and sourced the nutrient information from a trusted site called nutrition data.

This site says that raw octopus is 15% protein (and 80% water) which means that the dried version we sell is more like 70% plus protein (aafco minimum requirement 18%).  The fish dog treats are also very LOW IN FAT, high in vitamin B12, Iron 5.3 mg and Selenium  44 mico-grams

Octopus dog treats are 100% meat - no preservatives, nothing artificial added.

Octopus (raw) 100g (from nutrition data website, not our specific octopus )

  • Energy = 82 calories
  • Total fat = 2%  (omega 3 = 163mg)
  • Carbs = 2g
  • Protein = 15g  at 80% water this means dried octopus > 70% protein (dry)

The reason that many people feed their dogs our meat based dog treats are that they are high in meat proteins (and essential amino acids).

Meat amino acids are bio availalbe making the amino acids readily accessible for the dog's system to take advantage of.  Most dog food is grain based and so the proteins is from vegetable matter - not as easy for a dog to use.  Octopus dog treats are organic, low fat and a perfect source of essential amino acids, making them one of the healthiest choices in the world, right here, for your dog.
