Archie my dog, and his rubber shoe fetish play, explored. VIDEO
I imagine that most dogs have some pretty cool hobbies. As a puppy Archie was a great chewer, but as he has aged, he has given most of the toys away, except for our human things.
This article and video explores his rubber shoe playing fetish. He loves a good sock too, but The rubber garden shoes really seem to do it for him the best when looking for something to chew. However there are more reasons why this is so, than you might think.
The dog treats bully stick/ beef pizzle, was caught in a Video consumed by Scrat!
If you don't know what a bully stick looks like or what kind of chewing it offers a dog, then this is the perfect article and video for you
Scrat is mainly a kelpie, and in quarantine any kind of meat distraction is well worth its weight in gold to a dog. This is the video of Scrat eating the bully stick from start to end. It is sped up by x3 in the middle to prevent your snoozing.
Blackdog sells their bully sticks/ beef pizzle in packs of 25, which you can buy from my on-line store on this site, but I also break these bags down into packs of five.
Healthy Blackdog Mini dog biscuits. Ingredients and road test - VIDEO
What dog doesnt enjoy a mini dog treat biscuit?
Blackdog make many flavours of biscuits but I have opted for the ones that are meat, dairy or medicinal orientated. Hence on this site you can buy mini biscuits in the flavours of beef, cheese, and charcoal.
it is true that I try to promote people using more meat in their dogs diet, but a lot of time that is just not going to do anything. So if you love grains in your dogs diet (the vast majority of kibble and dog food cans are mainly grain) then adding a little more will probably have very little affect.
Dog Treat Chicken Meat Balls road tested by Archie VIDEO
Lovely dog treats chicken meatballs looks deceptively like dog kibble.
The dramatic difference is that while dog kibble usually has 20% meat in it, these chicken dog treats have up to 85% meat.
It just so happened that while I was video this dog treat eating session with Archie, there was a perfectly still golden sunset, much like the colour of the dog treats. I enjoy just watching the video for therapeutic reasons as much as it is instructional.
Tess the bearded Collie Jumping VIDEO explained.
Tess, is one of the most attentive dogs you will find.
As a bearded collie, she is from working dog stock, and I have created another video of her retrieving efforts. But this video shows how great her coordination is at jumping to catch the ball.
The remarkable thing about this is that she is over eight years old, and over the hour visits I had with her, she rarely tired.
Jumbo Pork Roll DOG TREAT half eaten by Shine the Rottweiler - VIDEO
The Blackdog jumbo pork roll sounds imposing, and it is.
It is essentially two layers of pork hide wrapped into a tight cylinder shape. For those dogs that easily dispose of pigs ears, then this is the ONLY SOLUTION.
Shine the Rottweiler gave it a good shot at eating it, but even he needed it to be unwrapped to get easy purchase on it in the short term.

Large Pork Twist DOG TREAT eaten entirely by Shine the Rottweiler - VIDEO
A lot of people may not be aware of the large pork twist and how a dog eats one, so here is a great instructional video for just such a purpose.
The dog leading this lesson is Shine the Rottweiler. He was recruited simply because this chewing task was far too onerous in a short period to give to my dog Archie the spoodle.
That said, this small dog treat still requires substantial chewing, so much so that I had to speed the video up in the centre of it so that you could view it all in one manageable sitting.
Kangaroo & chicken Crinkle dog treats road tested by Archie VIDEO
Like all of the black dog treat range, they are very high in meat. 85%. This video shows my dog Archie at the Williamstown rocks eating quite a few in rapid succession, just in case you want to see what eating them is like for a 20kg spoodle/ cockapoo.
Vizsla Jed having fun catching tennis balls. VIDEO
This is actually the second video of a dog that I looked after recently.
If you have never minded a Vizsla or don't know much about them, then this article will be a good crash course. I have included information on their temperament and a video of one happily jump catching tennis balls for me.
The dog is of Hungarian origin and of the pointer class. They typically are seen doing long sweeping runs when playing in off lead parks.

Dog Treats - Lamb bones for dogs eaten by Shine the Rottweiler captured in a VIDEO
The bone in question is a very tasty Lamb Neck dog treat.
The dog eating it is Shine the Rottweiler.
The reason Shine is eating it is that he loves it, and I want a demonstration video for my site!
However, the true value of the lamb neck is that it is a very multi-purpose bone suitable for many sized dogs. And has the most meat of almost any bone ever.
Dog Treats - Roo Jerky The KING of dog treats. Healthy long lasting - VIDEO
At Markets, people often ask me for the longest lasting FULL muscle meat treats. And Roo jerky is right up there.
But there are many other reasons that you will want to feed your dog Kangaroo Jerky.
This article looks at the many reasons that roo meat is as good, if not better for dogs than almost any other meat, just as it is for their owners.
Dog Treats - KangaROO Bone Completely eaten by Shine the Rottweiler - VIDEO
It's funny, a lot of people at the markets are interested in Kangaroo meat treats, but they don't see the value in kangaroo bones.
True, if your dog is small, it may only gnaw at the ends of the bone, but as you will see, for the larger dog, the good chewing dog, there may be nothing better than a roo bone dog treat.
There are many benefits to dogs eating bones in their diet, and this article looks at the value of kangaroo bones specifically.
Can dogs eat pork bones? Well, yes! Pork bone entirely eaten by Shine the Rottweiler!
This article is about a video that is interesting for several reasons. Firstly it's the first video I have made for healthy dog treats of a dog eating a Blackdog dried bone.
The bone in question is how can dogs eat pork bones. The second interesting thing is that I recruited the services of a friendly local Rottweiler.
I was not sure how the experience would go but I was pleasantly surprised that the Rottweiler was able to eat the WHOLE bone in under ten minutes.
Both obsessive blue heeler cross border collie, sparks fly in a VIDEO.
This is one of the most amazing video dog subjects I have ever shot. The dogs in the video are blue heeler cross border collie that walks regularly and meets in the park.
This is the answer to what happens when a dog obsessed dog, meets a ball obsessed dog.
The difference between good &bad dog owners
My dog while not exemplary in behaviour is 'bad' mostly because of my lack of discipline not from exercise or food issues. People don’t understand that as the pack leader they themselves have a responsibility to daily take their dogs on DAILY life affirming excursions.
What I also have experienced with my new dog friend is the bond I witness in many other diligent owners who either regularly take their dog to off-lead dog parks or when they go out to cafes. Since having walked many dogs, I have become aware of some very interesting social dynamics. Good owners V bad dog owners. Which are you?
Tilly Jack Russell loves to swim with the seagulls VIDEO
Tilly is a dog that I walk three times per week. I have done this for a few years, but she has only realised her talent for swimming.
In fact she swims for up to an hour at a time, but the most remarkable thing about this more than her size is her breed. You see Tilly is a jack Russell and Jack Russells are one of the best 'ratters' out there. They were bred to be alert and courageous hunters often taking on vermin of their own size or larger. But swimming has never been in their description.
Archie dog (poodle, cocker spaniel) tracks rabbits among industrial pipes VIDEO
I openly admit that this is an article to accompany a Canity (Vanity dog video).
Not just because I can, but because I enjoy filming dogs doing interesting things, and in particular what they were meant to do. In this case this is the article accompanying the embedded video of my dog Archie tracking rabbits in an industrial estate, among gas pipelines.
KangaROO LAMI DOG TREATS, a Quick tasty chew - Instructional VIDEO
Roo LAMI. A funny name for a treat you might think, but not if you follow the logic. Roo lami is shredded kangaroo, recombined in a long stick (like salami but without the fat) and cut into thin disc pieces.
Like the rest of the black dog range, this dog treat is an extraordinary quality treat of up to 85% kangaroo meat, and NATURALLY irresistible!
That said, you may wonder where this kangaroo dog treat fits into the whole kangaroo range.
Shark (Flake) Cartilage DOG TREATS, Great chewing, teeth cleaning - Instructional VIDEO
As you will see in this article, shark cartilage has been found to be somewhat of a miracle food for humans and dogs alike.
Besides its great chewing and teeth cleaning properties, there are many vital micro nutrients that your dog just won't get from anywhere else.
If your dog takes too long to chew down a bone, or you are tired of feeding them small raw bones each morning, then this might be the perfect option.
Dog Treats : An INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO of a quick chew chicken treat specials.
These chicken discs may look like garden variety dog treats, but they have several major advantages. Besides coming from a trusted source, like all meat based black dog treats they have up to 85% meat in them!
While the VIDEO features my healthy five year old 20 kg cockapoo/ spoodle devouring these healthy meat based treats, you can see how easy the would be for just about any dog to eat.
Sometimes you need long lasting treats, other times you are after a quick and easy treat. The fact is that meat based treats are often expensive, but not with the treats I sell. These are an extremely good value for money dog treat.
