Dog Treats - Pork Bone Entirely eaten by Shine the Rottweiler

Dog eating pork boneThis article is about an video that is interesting for several reasons. Firstly it's the first video I have made for healthy dog treats of a dog eating a Blackdog dried bone.

The bone in question is a pork bone. The second interesting thing is that I recruited the services of a friendly local Rottweiler.

I was not sure how the experience would go but I was pleasantly surprised that the Rottweiler was able to eat the WHOLE bone in under ten minutes.

Obsessive border collie meets obsessive blue heeler, sparks fly. VIDEO

Blue Heeler & Border CollieThis is one of the most amazing video dog subjects I have ever shot. One of the dogs in the video is a border collie cross that I walk, the other is a blue heeler that we regularly meet in the park.

This is the answer to what happens when a dog obsessed dog, meets a ball obsessed dog.

The difference between good &bad dog owners

happy dogMy dog while not exemplary in behaviour is 'bad' mostly because of my lack of discipline not from exercise or food issues. People don’t understand that as the pack leader they themselves have a responsibility to daily take their dogs on DAILY life affirming excursions.

What I also have experienced with my new dog friend is the bond I witness in many other diligent owners who either regularly take their dog to off-lead dog parks or when they go out to cafes.  Since having walked many dogs, I have become aware of some very interesting social dynamics. Good owners V bad dog owners. Which are you?

Tilly Jack Russell loves to swim with the seagulls VIDEO

tilly dog on pipeTilly is a dog that I walk three times per week. I have done this for a few years, but she has only realised her talent for swimming.

In fact she swims for up to an hour at a time, but the most remarkable thing about this more than her size is her breed.  You see Tilly is a jack Russell and Jack Russells are one of the best 'ratters' out there. They were bred to be alert and courageous hunters often taking on vermin of their own size or larger. But swimming has never been in their description.

dog eating beef cubesBeef cubes retain a special place in the dog treat array, and for good reason. They are the lightest easiest to eat 100% beef treat we sell.

Beef Jerky DOG TREATS, high value, long lasting & how to eat them VIDEO

dog eating beef jerkyBeef Jerky is the king of dog treats. And the reason is that beef is readily available from providers meaning that the product is usually in good supply and high quality.

The meat is also one of the main meats that most dogs eat (via as an additive to pellets or cans, or raw like I feed my dog).

The big difference is that this beef jerky is a 'black dog' brand treat, and is 100% beef. The 'processing' is simple. The meat is extracted, the meat is dried, we get you the dried 100% beef.

Kanga-roo Straps | Chicken Straps DOG TREATS: Instructional - how to eat it VIDEO

..... Kangaroo strap Chicken Strap
  .

What can be said about the splendid kangaroo and chicken straps that has not already been said?

They seem to be one of the larger take anywhere regular treats that people buy because they remind them of something that they might buy in the supermarket, but these are a very different dog treat to the garden variety filler on most supermarket shelves. They are high quality and are high in the roo.

DOG TREATS: Beef Liver Balls Instructional - how to eat it VIDEO

beef liver ballBeef liver treat balls are really the basic 101 building block of all treats. They are little pebbles of up to 85% meat. Yes, that's correct. While many dog foods struggle to achieve 20% meat, these premium beef liver ball dog treats are up to 85% meat!

The reason that this is important is that most dogs are fed on manufactured food diets which are low in meat. Dogs can survive on vegetable and grain proteins, but they thrive on beef because they are carnivores and their whole digestive system is set up to efficiently process meat.

DOG TREATS: Kanga-Roo Nugget/ Chicken Nugget Instructional - how to eat it VIDEO

Roo Nuggets eaten by dogKangaroo meat is a lot trickier to get than any other meat, because it is not farmed by traditional methods. However these kangaroos are farmed under strict game licenses by the various states.

Kanga-Roo is so attractive to many dog owners because It is also one of the leanest meats around, and one of the easiest accessible game meats in Australia.

This is the companion article to the video taken of my dog Archie eating Kangaroo Nuggets dog treats.

DOG TREATS: Duck jerky Instructional - how to eat it VIDEO

duck jerky dog treatHave you tried your dog in duck before? Probably not as it is moderately exotic and expensive in Australia, well that is until now.

The reason you may like to try it with your dog is that it is a meat that it would not regularly get, which helps expand its body's processing abilities of a new protein.  While in raw form it is high in saturated fat, this is not an issue for dried duck such as in these treats.

Also you should note that saturated fats are an issue for humans, not dogs, who use proteins and fats as their main source of energy and do not suffer cholesterol problems like their owners.

How to have a social dog, through play, socialisation, discipline - VIDEO

..... dogs playing hard
  .

This is the back story to the second video in the amazing Ella V Archie extreme play sessions. One dog is a spoodle (cocker spaniel cross poodle) while the other is a Labrador cross unknown. The first video of epic dog play can be found here. The video also demonstrates what hard, but very social play is about.

The video shown here is the more 'hard core' play of the two videos on this site, and even in slow motion, you can sense how long these play sessions would go for, and how much energy both dogs expended.

I used to walk Ella professionally, and Archie is my dog. So I have a pretty good sense of their limits.

Chicken breast fillet dog treat VIDEO - how to eat it

Archie (dog) enjoying chicken breastThis is the second in our instructional videos on healthy dog treat products. This video shows 'how to eat a chicken breast dog treat'. This might be a seemingly easy task, if you are a dog, but for us human owners, there is some speculation about the size, colour, texture, time taken to eat the chicken breast dog treats etc.

Chicken breast fillets are one of the most popular dog treats I sell at local markets and online. This is probably the dual benefit they have of being the most pure chicken dog treat (just 100% chicken) and the extremely good value (price and service) .
