healthy Dog treats are either 100% meat or 85% meat
Healthy dog treats are 85% to 100% meat based
This blog follows a call I had this morning from a potential customer. He is getting a new dog very soon and wants to make sure that it's getting the best dog treats.
I guess he found my site by searching for healthy dog treats but ironically most of the sites that appear under that search are kind of fraudulent for that claim.
Kangaroo dog treats Australia - strangely are made in Australia!
healthy dog treats are AFFORDABLE Aussie treats etc etc
Its funny but some people expect because something is called a treat, that it should be either not healthy or expensive. WRONG ON Both accounts for the healthy dog treats that we sell.
That is the whole point of our shop, to be healthy and affordable!
Dog treats online & buying safely & cheaply
Dog treats online are as safe if not safer than anywhere
If you read the benefits of buying my dog treats online on my homepage you will many statements that provide a convincing case.
The following benefits related directly to my online model and these are the specific reasons why they are so much better than any retail physical shop purchases of dog treats.
Healthy Dog treats are surprisingly hard to find
Why would healthy dog treats be so hard to find you may ask.
And what is healthy?
With the amount of misinformation in the human diet industry and the resulting confusion, it should be easy to understand that something that most people don't think about on a daily basis is even going to be harder to define.
dog treats Australia r the best dog treats
Dog treats Australia are best when meat based
The title should be specific enough for the casual reader.
I have written this blog for a month or so now, and realise that I haven't included any information about dog treats, which after all is the whole point of this site.
I may repeat the message a few times in my blog, but for the newbies out there, ones that feed their dogs manufactured dog food, STOP IT.
Amy & Archie dogs the social chase in the local park
It is hard for you to know why this photo is so special unless you know these dogs. The spoodle is my dog. He is dominant and walked each day. Amy is the large bernese chasing him in this photo.
Dogs thrive on clean cool water sources everywhere
Keeping a dog fit and healthy should be a simple matter. Walk it off lead, feed it meat, give it water, affection and discipline in all the right doses.
This dogblog is all about water. With summer in Australia, even though December has been uncharacteristically cold the temperatures are much higher than in winter.
Most dogs are European based breeds here, and so they were bred for cooler conditions. It doesn't take much with a bit of territory marking and running around for dogs in off lead dog parks to get very thirsty and dehydrated.
The Catahoula Leopard Dog. The state dog of Louisiana
The Catahoula Leopard Dog (The state dog of Louisiana) is a rare dog in Melbourne Australia, but we often see one around our Newport Lakes Park.
My impressions of this guy are that as a Cur hunting dog, he is always on high alert for prey. He is extremely fit and his body is streamlined for running at high speed through the scrub.
Archie & Ivy the aussie border at the Williamstown back beach
Ivy the aussie border used to go on our pro off lead dog walks when she was a puppy to burn off energy and learn to be social.
The biggest risk for working dogs usually happens when they transition into adult hood and take their working status too importantly. That means they want to herd, nip or generally harass other dogs because there are no sheep around.
Ultra submissive ex breeding dog in the dog park
This was one very appreciative dog we met today. She came bounding towards our pack and immediately rolled onto her back.
This is not completely uncommon behaviour, but it is when the dog is reasonably large and it is doing it out of perceived fear, trying its best to be liked.
My healthy dog treats bring all the dogs to the seat
There are no apologies for my healthy dog treats. To paraphrase Kelis: " My healthy dog treats bring all the dogs to the yard, And they're like. It's better than yours, Damn right it's better than yours."
I pro dog walk dogs for a living, and a lot of people in the park marvel at how I keep a multitude of dogs together off leash. How you keep them under control.
Mr Sniffy Chihuahua extraordinary dog for Christmas
Sometimes its easy for blogs to fall into the black hole of venting, particularly when there is a good chance that nobody is reading them. So I thought with Christmas only 3 days away that I would turn all that around and talk about mr sniffy.
Mr sniffy is a 10 year old plus Chihuahua dog that comes to visit Tilly, our dog walk regular, sometimes throughout the week. He is owned by Tilly's owner's daughter and he too is a rescue dog.
Ridgeback almost being social in off lead dog park
I feel kind of funny writing this, because I know the person who walks this dog for her daughter, but it doesn't excuse the dog's behaviour. And this is not about the ridgeback breed, I have met many social ridges.
Its a familiar story. Someone gets a dog for someone, and it is never walk (or circumstances change), and the dog gets anti social.
Airedale dog visits the social dog pack at the dogpark
For regular visitors to a dog park, this photo will garnish a knowing nod.
Social dogs in an off lead dog park, look forward to greeting each other and 'exchanging phone numbers' by a sniff or two. That is how they meet and socialise. The sniff of the anal gland giving far more information about health and general body dynamics than many vets can ascertain in a few minutes.
An easy guide to socialising a new dog at the off lead dogpark
I walk dogs for a living, so there is rarely a time when I have genuine fear at the dog park. Dog parks are supposed to be safe places where dogs can walk and have fun and socialise with other dogs and humans.
if the park is full of social dogs, this is what happens. Its the whole reason for going to the park. Sure the dog is getting exercise, but so will a block walk or treadmill do that job. The off lead experience is about creating a balanced happy dog. so what does that have to do with the dog blog today and the photo.
Louie dog plays reindeer with makeshift park wood
It will soon be one of Louie's last walks with us as his owners move suburb, so I thought I better get some news about him out there before that happens.
For anyone who has followed his antics on my facebook page, you will know that he loves getting Apache the staffy to chase him, then he moves onto making other dogs join in the play. But this whole wood carrying thing is very different.
Max the golden retriever doing cute goofy things in the park. VIDEO
Almost by definition, most people think of golden retrievers as happy and goofy. As a dog walker, we really get to see the differences in their personalities ounce they hit the off lead park.
It is almost universal that they all love water and wallowing in a puddle, However the golden retriever behaviour spectrum is almost as wide as any dog breed out there.
Mac, a corgi cross dog, that lives for excitement
Its funny how randomness of life brings you together with certain people or dogs. I met Mac first when I was requested to pet sit him on occasions that both owners were working. He gets afternoon walks with myself and my dog Archie every few months or so.
On those walks around his own suburb, he spends a massive amount of time marketing territory, which my dog then remarks.
A new dog Lily (spoodle) joins the dog-pack for the first time
As a pro dog walker I have had many situations where our dog pack has encountered new dogs in the park for the first time. Some are social, some have had very little exposure to other dogs off lead.
This short post is about Lily the spoodle who at under a year old did amazingly well with our dog pack for the first time.
A hauntingly beautiful & friendly Husky dog called Holly
I could easily wax lyrical about the dogs I have in my own dog pack for eternity because the more you know any dog, the more like family they become. However, today's post is about a husky dog called Holly.
We first met Holly a year or so ago when by age she was much more of an official puppy. Her owner has done all of the right things by regularly taking her to off lead parks and keeping her social. For people who dont believe you can do this with a husky, holly is proof.
A great time in the wet at the Williamstown dog Park Beach
It started out a little overcast after a very hot night then some thunder. It was deciding whether it would drizzle or not when we got to the Williamstown back beach.
The dogs were just interested in getting out of the car and having a good time. They were all very highly energized, even the oldest member Harry.
Apache Staffordshire terrier dog & Louie Rottweiler X play love affair.
You may not get this specifically from this photos, but these two dogs are in Play love.
They don't always have their dog walk days coincide, and if they are not together, the walk is a relatively sedate affair for everyone. However when Louie and Apache get together, all play rules are off the table and they play as hard as they like.
The famous Newport Melbourne Dog Park Bench.
There isn't much that is a better gauge of how the dog pack is going than this Newport Melbourne Park bench.
Originally I would stop at the bench because we would meet people there, or it gave us a focus for the pack to stay around while some members played on the grass, then slowly it became much more central.
Off lead dog Walking in Newport best in the rain !
Dogs and rain, what is all the fuss about?
You know, dogs descended from wolves 20,000 years ago, dogs being a 'wild creature' etc etc.
Today was the wettest off lead dog walk I have had all year. There was little thunder so it was a safe venture for all dogs, and it wasn't pouring consistently when we started.
